Hi, I’m Thomas Dad, Photographer & Storyteller

Hi, I’m Thomas. If I’m not behind the camera, you’ll probably find me on Ayr beach, about ten minutes from my front door. The sea has always been my reset button; there’s something about the fresh air and the scale of the water that puts everything back into perspective.

I’ve always believed you’re never too old to start something new. At 34, I went back to college to learn to cook properly; I was the oldest person in the class, but I didn’t care. I just wanted to master the craft. I brought that same "always a student" mindset into photography five years ago, and I haven't looked back since.

My life has been defined by family. For twenty years, I’ve been a full time dad raising my daughter, Tracey, and now my twelve year old twin boys, Jaxon and Charlie. If there’s one thing two decades of solo parenting teaches you, it’s patience. I’ve learned how to stay calm when things get loud, how to watch everyone’s back, and how to make sure nobody feels left out.

I’ve always believed you’re never too old to start something new. Whether it was going back to college at 34 to master professional cooking or diving headfirst into photography five years ago, I don’t do things by halves. I’m a bit of a nerd at heart, too. I’m a massive film buff (Star Wars and Game of Thrones are my go-to’s) and a regular at my local 5-a-side.

I’m a normal guy who values real conversations and a good laugh over anything fancy or forced. I’ve lived a life full of loud houses and constant learning, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
